Let’s face it, summer break looks a lot different than it did 20 years ago with today’s generation spending more time on technology and less time playing outdoors. One way to combat the sedentary lifestyle and keep your kids active and engaged during summer break is by enrolling them in our annual Summer Blast Camp!
Houston Gymnastics Academy’s Summer Blast Camp runs from June 4th through August 17th, combining fun and fitness as kids, ages 3-12 years, learn new skills, jump on the trampolines, swing on our rope swing and leap into the giant foam pit! Not to mention, campers will enjoy taking turns on our obstacle course.
How is our summer camp structured? Each morning kicks off with a stretching session led by our awesome coaches followed by campers being divided into age groups. After an hour or so of playtime, kids gather for snack time before heading back to the gym. After more playtime, kids gather again for lunch. Next is movie time where kids are able to settle down and watch a short G-rated movie. After the movie, kids will head back to the gym for more activity before showcasing their new skills for their friends and coaches during “Showtime.” Each week is a different theme with Friday lunch always being a slice of delicious pizza!
Summer Blast Camp is an excellent opportunity for your child to stay active, learn new skills, gain self-confidence and meet new friends! We offer a variety of camp options including Half Day (3-4 years old only), Full Day and All Day for those needing additional care. All kids must be potty-trained to attend our HGA Summer Camp.
